Terms of Service
Last updated 27 October 2026 · Draft
These terms govern your use of PostVee, an email-authentication and deliverability service operated by Ctrl Networks ("we", "us"). By creating a workspace or using the service you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may bind it.
1. The service
PostVee analyses the public DNS of the domains you add — DMARC, SPF, DKIM, MX, MTA-STS, TLS-RPT, DNSSEC, name servers, blocklist status and BIMI — scores them, and tells you the exact records to publish. It re-scans domains on a schedule, alerts you when a record changes, decodes the DMARC aggregate reports you route to it, and lets you send test messages to a private address for a graded result.
PostVee reports on how your email is configured. It does not send your production mail, and it does not change your DNS for you: you publish every record yourself.
2. Access and accounts
PostVee is invite-only. We provision workspaces on request; there is no self-service sign-up. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your credentials secure, and for everything done under your workspace by the people you invite. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
3. Acceptable use
PostVee is a security tool. You may use it only for domains you own or are authorised to administer or monitor on the owner's behalf. In particular, you must not:
- use PostVee to probe, profile or attack a domain you do not control and are not authorised to assess;
- use the findings to impersonate a domain, spoof mail, or otherwise defeat the protections the service exists to strengthen;
- attempt to break, overload or circumvent the service, its rate limits or its access controls;
- resell or white-label the service without a written agreement with us.
Adding a domain purely to watch its public configuration — a competitor or a prospect — is permitted, because that data is already public; sending mail from, or tampering with, a domain that is not yours is not. Full detail is in our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms.
4. Plans, billing and renewal
Each plan sets how many domains a workspace may hold. Prices are quoted per organisation. Depending on what we agree, we bill either by invoice (typically on the terms stated on the invoice) or by card, monthly or annually in advance.
- Renewal. Plans renew automatically for the same term unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will make the renewal date visible in your workspace.
- Changing plan. You can move up or down a tier by asking us; the new domain limit applies on change and the difference is reflected on your next invoice. We do not delete domains automatically if you drop below your usage — we will ask you to bring your workspace within the new limit.
- Cancellation. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current term. Fees already invoiced or paid for the current term are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
5. Suspension
We may suspend or restrict a workspace where an invoice is materially overdue (after notice and a short grace period), where we reasonably believe the service is being used in breach of section 3, or where continued use poses a security or legal risk. Where practical we will warn you first and restore access once the cause is resolved.
6. No warranty of delivery
PostVee tells you whether your email authentication is correctly configured. It does not guarantee that your mail will reach any inbox, or that it will not be marked as spam. Inbox placement depends on the receiving provider, your sending reputation, message content and factors outside our control. We do not warrant deliverability, and nothing in the service should be read as such a promise.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a scan will always reach every name server. We do our best to be accurate, but DNS is a moving target and a result reflects what we could read at the time.
7. Your data
How we handle the data you put into PostVee — including DMARC report data and test messages — is set out in our Privacy Policy and, where we act as your processor, the Data Processing Addendum. Your report and test data is kept per workspace and is never shared with other customers.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, revenue or goodwill, or for loss arising from mail that was not delivered or was wrongly delivered. Our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in that period.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Where a change is material we will give you reasonable notice. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
