Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 27 October 2026 · Draft
PostVee is a security tool. This policy sets out what you may and may not do with it. It forms part of our Terms of Service; breaking it may lead to suspension.
1. The core rule
Use PostVee only for domains you own, or that you are authorised to administer or monitor on the owner's behalf. Everything below follows from that.
2. What is allowed
- Checking, setting up and monitoring the email authentication of your own domains, or your clients' domains where you manage them.
- Adding a domain as watched to observe its public DNS configuration — for example a competitor or a prospect. This reads only data that is already public and sends no mail; it is fair use.
- Sending test messages, from systems you control, to the private test address of a domain you manage.
3. What is not allowed
- Using PostVee to attack, probe for weaknesses in, or gain advantage over a domain you do not control and are not authorised to assess.
- Using the findings to spoof mail, impersonate a domain, or otherwise undermine the protections the service exists to strengthen.
- Sending mail from — or attempting to change the DNS or mail configuration of — a domain that is not yours.
- Sending test messages that contain unlawful content, malware, or personal data you have no need to share with us.
- Attempting to break, overload, reverse-engineer or circumvent the service, its rate limits or its access controls; or accessing another customer's workspace or data.
- Automating access in a way that degrades the service for others, or reselling access without a written agreement with us.
4. Reporting misuse
If you believe PostVee is being used against a domain you control, or in any way that breaks this policy, tell us at phowden@ctrl-networks.com and we will investigate.
5. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches and may restrict or suspend a workspace to protect the service, our other customers or third parties. Where practical we will contact you first; where the risk is serious we may act immediately.
